Vertical Gardens

Vertical gardens are the hottest trend in flexible gardening systems. The Vertical gardens are also known as Green Walls or Living Walls. It is a technique used to grow plants on walls. Vertical gardens can be attached to the exterior or interior of a building. They differ from green facades in that the plants root in a structural support which is fastened to the wall itself.

The vertical garden is a wall partially or completely covered with wall greenery that includes a growing medium like soil or a substrate. Most green walls also feature an integrated water delivery system. The Plant supporting system is very light so it can be implemented on any wall. The water flows over a vertical surface that keeps the plants alive. Instead of receiving the water and nutrients from the ground, they get it through the vertical support on the walls. The water can be supplied at the pockets on the top row which will wicks down through the felt and it can be supplied by hand watering or drip irrigation .
